One of our most popular wedding items is the custom photo guest book. What a great keepsake! This 8×8 book includes photos from your engagement session and has lots of room for your guests to write well wishes or advice. It’s far more personal than the old stuffy kind that only has lines for signatures, and you’re sure to pull it out time and time again throughout the years. One thing I love about the wedding books that we offer is that, not only do they include all of the photos from your wedding day, but they can be customized pretty easily. Katy came over one day to view her wedding images, and while she was here, we were able to look through swatches and plan her wedding book. I just got it in and I love the way it came out! She opted for a 9.5×9.5 square book with a pearlescent natural white cover. Don’t you love it?

2011 Brag Books

Holiday Cards 2010

Just wanted to give you guys a sneak peek of some of this years’ Holiday cards! I’m so excited about them! They will be available in the Powerhouse Studios Store next week. What I love about these designs is they are flexible enough to become Save the Dates or announcements or cards of any kind.

I will be announcing dates for Mini-Sessions soon, too, in preparation for Christmas. Book your holiday sessions now! The cutoff date for holiday portraits will be November 15th, and there are a limited number of dates available between now and then. If you’ve already had your session this year, and would like to order cards with images from that session, let me know and I will re-post your images for 7 days so that you can order your holiday cards and gifts.

Inspiration: Wall Displays

One of the aspects I really love about photography is that, not only can you caputure moments in time for future generations to see, but you can also use it to create personal art pieces in your home. Paintings and stock photography have their place, but decorating your house with personal images really gives that feeling of “home” that we all strive for.

Keri just sent me the following photo of the wall collage she put together using photos from their recent portrait session at the Kiddie Park. I love the clean lines, the simple design, and the fact that it’s a real focal point in the room! This just goes to show that you don’t always have to order a huge 30×40 canvas in order to make a statement. (Although that’ll do the trick, too!) This is an easy and affordable way to display your photos and tell a story.

The Holidays!

This is the first year we’ve offered press printed holiday cards and I’m so excited! In the past, photo cards have been printed on photo paper and, more often than not, were kinda cheesy. Now there is an awesome alternative! There are several different sizes and paper types available, ranging from $2-4 each, so order yours soon!

Here are some of the designs that you can choose from, and I’m working on putting together some other simpler, modern designs too! The designs below are for 5×5 or 5×7 flat cards, but they can be modified and we can create an inside design too if you are wanting folded cards. Let me know if you’ve got questions!
