Perspective
Posted on November 8, 2007
I know, I haven’t blogged in a while. Things have been crazy around here, business and otherwise. I think we all feel a little overwhelmed by it all sometimes. I’ve heard this song a hundred times, but only really heard the words today. (LOVE Caedmon’s Call!)
Sacred
this house is a good mess
it’s the proof of life
no way would I trade jobs
but it don’t pay overtime
I’ll get to the laundry
I don’t know when
I’m saying a prayer tonight
cause tomorrow it starts again
could it be that everything is sacred?
and all this time
everything I’ve dreamed of
has been right before my eyes
the children are sleeping
but they’re running through my mind
the sun makes them happy
and the music makes them unwind
***my cup runneth over
and I worry about the stain
teach me to run to You
like they run to me for every little thing
everything is sacred
and all this time
everything I’ve dreamed of
has been right before my eyes

When Will It End?!?!??!
Posted on September 12, 2007
Well, the end of the craziest season of my LIFE is nearly over (I think). We’re all moved in and my internet is FINALLY back up today! Hard drive crashed a few weeks back, but I think I have most of my software and files back. Still a few things I’m yet to recover, but my awesome friend Daniel of grow development really was a lifesaver! A true hero! My whole family got sick, but I think we’re over that. Seriously it seems like one thing after another has caused chaos and disruption to my life. Despite it all, I’ve got to say, I’m feeling pretty good right now. I’m in a new place. A lot of cool things are going on, and I feel like even though things have been completely haywire at times, I feel like God has been in all of it. I’m excited though for a slower September – complete with cool afternoons with a glass of sweet tea, a somewhat back to normal schedule (if there is such a thing), and getting back in touch with all the people I’ve missed.

We're Moving
Posted on August 31, 2007
Well, I am sorry I’ve been sort of missing lately. Last week we were on vacation, just to come back and have four days to pack up our house and move. I’m excited about it all, but EXHAUSTED. I’m not the only one.
Well, I have lots of pictures to post from the last few weeks, but you’ll probably have to wait until things slow down next week.
God bless!

Friends
Posted on June 27, 2007
We got the chance to hang out with several friends and all their kiddos today and we had a great time. Lots of adorable faces to take pictures of. I’ve also included some pics from my friend Amanda’s and my trip to Gruene the other day. Lots of fun!

What's Happening
Posted on June 25, 2007
Aaron and I spent this weekend downtown to celebrate our Anniversary and had an AMAZING time. We stayed at the Hotel Contessa, which was hands down the most awesome hotel and hotel experience we have ever had. The location, the decor, the rooms, the service… amazing. Then last night we ate at our new favorite restaurant, Boudro’s… also completely amazing. You must try their guacamole if you’re ever down on the Riverwalk. (you can also get the recipe on their website.) All in all, one of the best weekends ever! Sadly, I did not take my camera, but I really should have. Sorry I have nothing to show for it.
I am also excited to announce our participation in a new website called WeddingParty.com. Today is the official launch date. Powerhouse Studios is one of the founding members, and we’re excited about what this site will do to help brides and grooms as well as wedding vendors!

For the Grandparents :)
Posted on May 25, 2007
My family gets on me all the time for not sending pictures of the kids more often. Sad that I am a photographer and I so often forget to take pictures of my own kids! Pitiful. Anyway… so here’s a few recent photos of my kiddos.
Here’s their birthday party we had a couple weeks ago…

Rainy Day
Posted on May 25, 2007
It’s been pouring rain since last night, so we’ve been just hanging out all day inside. I needed to work for a while, so I left the kids in the living room to watch a movie and play. After awhile, I noticed it was quiet (parents, you know what that means), so I went to check on them and… well, I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

A much needed VACATION!
Posted on May 23, 2007
Like I said, I am WAY behind on posting pictures this month, but here’s a few from our recent vacation. It was a much needed little break from all that’s been going on lately. It ended all too soon! (Doesn’t it always?)
Here’s a couple of my favorite photos from the Astros game last Tuesday. We got an “early bird” tour of the ballpark and got to sit in on BP and we got some great close ups of the players. We also got to sit in President Bush’s seats (see below), so that was fun.
One of my favorite pictures from batting practice…

I just like this picture of Aaron. ![]()

On the way home from Houston, we decided to take the backroads and we found some pretty cool little towns along the way…
