Merry Christmas!

I find that Christmas has sort of snuck up on me this year. We never got around to putting the lights up outside and I didn’t bake the piles of cookies and pies that I had planned. But in a way, it was nice keeping things simpler. I’ve really enjoyed this Christmas season, and I hope you have too. May today be a day filled with joy, peace, thankfulness, and wonderful memories for you and your family. I’m so thankful for each of you who are a part of my life, and who make it wonderful.

I was so excited to get a text last week from my good friend (and former bride), Laura, saying that their sweet new bundle of joy had arrived! Today, I had the privilege of meeting Laura and Gabe’s precious little girl. She’s sooooo sweet. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from this morning’s session.

I had the awesome privilege of meeting baby Ethan just a few days after he was born. He’s so precious! I went over to Josh and Kelly’s house to hang out for a while and take some photos. This baby is angelic. Quiet and sweet and oh-so-snuggly!

Baby Z is Born!

I had the real honor to be able to be at the birth of Baby Z. Mom and Dad (a.k.a. Daniel and Amanda) have been friends of ours for over eight years, and when they asked if I’d be there to document the arrival of baby #3, I was excited! He was born at the San Antonio Birth Center, and it was such a cool thing to be a part of. Mama and baby are both healthy, and isn’t he just a cutie?! Congrats to Daniel & Amanda!

New Arrival

This week was a great week! In addition to the snow, I got to meet my brand new niece, Madison. She is beautiful and awesome! My sis-in-law, Natalie, had to have a C-section, and I had the privilege of being there when she got to hold Madison for the first time. Very cool moment.

I got to do sweet little Adrian’s first portraits a couple of weeks ago, and he was SO precious! Look at all that hair! He did not cry a peep and was an absolute dream the whole time, no matter what I did to him. I am so very happy for mommy and daddy, Felicia and Adrian, whom I have loved since being a part of their wedding. I just knew they were going to be great parents and have a super fun family. Lucinda + Mauro [San Antonio Family Portraits]

Last time I saw Lucinda and Mauro, they were an adorable little family of three. I was so excited, though, when she contacted me a couple weeks ago to let me know they’ve added a fourth member to the family and would be needing to update their family portraits! Yesterday they invited me to their home to document their life as a family at this special time, and it was so nice. To finish it all off, we went down to the park to play and enjoy the beautiful day (and, of course, take a few more pictures). I love Fall!

Olliana [San Antonio Newborn Portraits]

I was so happy when my friend Denise (from over at San Antonio Weddings) came over today with the newest addition to her family. Little Olliana is just two weeks old and was so sweet. As many of you know, I am just recently diving into the world of maternity and newborn portraits, but so far I am loving it. Today was the first session that I’ve done from my home/office, and I was pretty happy with the way they came out! (Having an adorable subject doesn’t hurt.) Here are a couple of my favorites from the day.

Felicia and Adrian are one of those couples that, when I first met them, I felt connected to them right away. They’re super sweet and laid back, and very much in love. I loved being a part of their wedding, and I’m thrilled to be able to continue to capture their story as they move on to the next phase in their life. Baby Adrian Jr. will be arriving in just a few weeks (Felicia doesn’t look 8 months pregnant, does she?!), so we got together the other day at Brackenridge Park to document this fabulously exciting time in their lives! Can’t wait to meet the newest member of this awesome family!

Felicia and Adrian brought along a couple of the sonogram photos to incorporate into the session. Love it!
