Valerie & Dustin – Engagement
Posted on March 29, 2008
I had the privilege of shooting Val & Dustin’s engagement portraits yesterday and we had a great time! It’s hard to believe that my baby sister is getting married in a few months! Valerie is also pursuing professional photography, so if you’re in the College Station area…
We had so much fun finding cool places to shoot and hanging out together, and I am so very happy for them! Congrats, Sister and Brother-in-law-to-be!

Spring is Here!
Posted on March 27, 2008
I was driving down the highway today and saw the first patch of bluebonnets. There were only about 10 of them in a tiny little patch, but they were there! It inspired me to take a long drive and kinda get away from things, if only for an hour or so. I love this time of year and all that it brings. Cool weather, grilling in the back yard, brightly colored dishes and patio furniture…
I feel very blessed.
I always get quite a few requests for “bluebonnet portraits” this time of year, and I’ve always found them a little bit — tired, I guess. EVERYONE has pictures of their kids sitting in the middle of the bluebonnets, you know? It’s all the same. However, I think I’ve got some really cool bluebonnet pictures coming up. Here are a couple from last year.

Billy & Zeynep – Just Because
Posted on March 19, 2008
Billy & Zeynep are great friends of ours who are campus pastors at our church’s new satellite campus in New Braunfels. They are the coolest people, so, of course, I was delighted to take pictures of the two of them the other day when they asked. I had a great time doing portraits with their extended family a few months ago, and it was nice to get the chance to do something for just the two of them.

Donald & Amanda – Engagment
Posted on March 17, 2008
Donald and Amanda are getting married at the Inn at Craig Place in June and we had a great time shooting their engagement portraits yesterday at Trinity University, despite the heat. Enjoy the preview!
Many more portrait sessions to come in the next few weeks. And keep your eyes open for some changes to the Powerhouse Studios website!

Deena & Paul – Engagement
Posted on March 17, 2008
Deena was my sister’s best friend growing up and, as I’ve commented before, played an integral part in helping me get my start in photography
Now Deena is all grown up, is about to graduate college, and a few months ago called me up to say she was getting married! I am so excited for her and Paul, and I feel honored that they asked me to photograph their portraits and their wedding. Deena & Paul, you are wonderful and congratulations!

David & Tiffany
Posted on March 12, 2008
It was such an honor to photograph David & Tiffany’s wedding. They were so, not just happy, but truly grateful to be getting married. They were best friends in high school and then life took them separate ways, only to bring them finally together in the end. It was awesome to see. It was a great day, complete with the BEST cheesecake, special ordered from New York City and… MILK. Good stuff. Sorry I am just now getting these posted.
