Laughter & Tears
Posted on December 7, 2007
I have never laughed or cried so much at a photo shoot before. The Carrolls decided that this year they wanted to get pictures with all of the grandparents, so we all went out to Landa Park one afternoon to make it happen. The Carroll family just cracks me up every time I’m around them. There was much laughter and silliness and we had a great time. I’m still not sure if there are any where the kids aren’t making faces, but that’s the real them!
Towards the end, Zeynep asked if she could take a picture with her mom, who only a couple months before had discovered she had a brain tumor and had been going through intense treatments. Then came the waterworks. It was such an emotional evening, and I hope these photos capture the amazing love that this family shares.
The kiddos are very tired of pictures by now ![]()

Bre, my mom was coherant enough today to see the pictures. I asked her if she remembered the day we were at Landa Park to take the pictures and she said yes with a faint smile. I showed her the collage and she said they were beautiful! She can’t say much anymore and for her to say that was a huge blessing!! Thank you for capturing the special day for us!
Much love to you!
Zeynep, Billy and the kids!
I have to say these are some of the most beautiful photos that I have ever seen… Having the pleasure of getting to know Billy and Zeynep through small group I can really appreciate these pics.
